Broken Memories

It's been two years already. Will you ever forgive me for loving you for so long, for the rest of my life?

Leave Out All The Rest - Linkin Park

I dreamed I was missing,
You were so scared,
But no one would listen,
Cos no one else cares.
After my dreaming,
I woke with this fear.
What em I leaving,
What I've done here.

So if you're asking me I'd want you to know...

When my time comes,
Forget the wrongs that I've done,
Help me leave behind some,
Reasons to be missed.
And don't resent me,
And when you're feeling empty,
Keep me in your memories,
Leave out all the rest.

Leave out all the rest...

Don't be afraid,
I've taken my beating,
I've shed when I'm near.
I'm strong on the surface,
Not all the way through.
I've never been perfect,
But neither have you.

So if you're asking me I'd want you to know...

When my time comes,
Forget the wrongs that I've done,
Help me leave behind some,
Reasons to be missed.
Don't resent me,
And when you're feeling empty,
Keep me in your memories,
Leave out all the rest.

Leave out all the rest...

Forgetting,
All the hurt inside you've learned to have so well.
Pretending,
Someone else can't come and save me from myself.

I can't be who you are...

When my time comes,
Forget the wrongs that I've done,
Help me leave behind some,
Reasons to be missed.
Don't resent me,
And when you're feeling empty,
Keep me in your memories,
Leave out all the rest.

Leave out all the rest...

Forgetting,
All the hurt inside you learned to have so well.
Pretending,
Someone else can't come and save me from myself.

I can't be who you are.....
I can't be who you are.....

Lotus Racing F1 Team Race Report: Korean GP

22nd October saw the inaugural Korean GP took place at the newly-completed Korean International Curcuit. Though the race has already been confirmed at the start of the season, the curcuit itself was only completed on the day before the race. A highly-contested qualifying on Saturday the 23rd saw Red Bull Racing's duo of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber sweeping the front row once again with Scuderia Ferrari's Fernando Alonso a close 3rd. The McLaren Mercedes team drivers, 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton and current world champion Jenson Button started their race from 4th and 7th respectively while Lotus Racing F1 Team qualified 20th (Jarno Trulli) and 21th (Heikki Kovalainen). Race day on Sunday got off to a wet affair. Heavy rain delayed the start by 10 minutes, and when the green lights went off drivers have to start behind the Safety Car. Due to bad isibility and traction reasons, the race was suspended after drivers lapped the curcuit for 4 times. The race was restarted when the rain has subsided after 45 minutes, again behind the Safety Car for traction reason. When the Safety Car came in at the end of lap 16, the Red Bull duo began building a good lead between them and Alonso. On lap 18, the unthinkable happened to then championship leader Webber. He spun when he hit a wet kerb and taking out Mercedes Petronas GP's Nico Rosberg in the process. He has since taken the blame of the crash and apologised to Rosberg. The incident brought out the Safety Car once again, during which many drivers quickly dived into the pit lane for fresh tyres. When the Safety Car period was over, Vettel speared off into the horizon and build a healthy lead over now 2nd placed Alonso. But luck was not on Vettel's side that day, as his car's engine blew 9 laps from the end. That gifted Alonso the lead, who ran a faultless race the whole time and took the chequered flag almost 15 seconds ahead of Hamilton. Button, who desperately needs a good result to remain in contention for this year championship, ended his race in a lowly 12th place and out of the points zone due to a botched race strategy. Towards the end of the race visibility became another problem when the sky was getting dark as the night came. Alonso now leads the championship table with 231 points ahead of Webber, who slipped to second with 220 points and Hamilton in 3rd with 210. Button, who is 42 points behind Alonso remains mathematically in contention, but common sense renders him out of the race to defend his title. Lotus Racing meanwhile suffered mixed luck when Trulli stopped his car in the garage on lap 18 with yet another hydraulic failure. Kovalainen on the other hand could have finished higher than 13th had he not come in contact with Jaime Alguersuari of Scuderia Toro Rosso and spun on the final 10 laps.

Lotus Racing F1 Team Race Report: Japanese GP

F1 flies to the holy land of motorsport, where drama started early. Saturday's qualifying was postponed 10 a.m morning the next day before the official race due to heavy rain. Red Bull Racing once again proved their dominance on high-downforce tracks when their drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber swept the front row in 1st and 2nd respectively. Sunday 10th October saw more actions when Virgin Racing's Lucas di Grassi crashed his car at the famous 130R corner on the formation lap but walked away without injuries. Renault F1 Team's Vitaly Petrov tangled with William's Nico Hulkenberg on the main straight once the lights went off, resulting the Russian rookie to spin and hit the Armco barriers hard and ending his race as well as Hulkenberg's. A little further up ahead, Felipe Massa drove into the side of Force India's Vitantonio Liuzzi, also forcing the retirement for the both of them. This series of accidents brought out the Safety Car for six laps, during which Petrov's quick starting team-mate Robert Kubica, who splitted the Red Bull duo in 2nd place right from the start, retired with his rear right wheel missing. Later once the Safety Car came back into the pits and the race resumes, Vettel and Webber sped up and built a decent gap between them and the cars behind. McLaren Mercedes's defending champion Jenson Button, who started from 6th with the more durable harder tyres while the rest of the field ran the softer slicks and drove up to 4th on start-up, was very quick and also managed to grab the lead when Vettel and Webber pitted. When Button struggled with his now degrading rubbers which is causing the car to skid at the exit of corners and had to pit for fresh ones, the trio behind him, Vettel, Webber and Scuderia Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, winner of the last 2 races zoomed past and once again Vettel takes the lead. From there on Vettel led Webber for the team's 3rd one-two finish of the season with Alonso in 3rd. Button's team-mate and 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton, who at one point was ahead of his senior racer had to slow down due to a gearbox problem and let his fellow countryman pass him at the Hairpin turn. Button finished in 4th and Hamilton in 5th. In the midfield, Mercedes Petronas GP's former seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher and Sauber Ferrari's Kamui Kobayashi were the heroes of the day. Schumacher, who started in 10th was racing the best race of his season which saw him chasing down his team-mate Nico Rosberg and finishing 6th after Rosberg gifted him the position by crashing at the Esseesse corners. Kobayashi meanwhile jumped from 14th to 7th with some awesome and daring overtaking maneuvres ever, taking down Scuderia Toro Rosso's Jaime Alguersuari, Liuzzi's team-mate Adrian Sutil, Hulkenberg's team-mate and F1's senior driver Rubens Barrichello and also team-mate Nick Heidfeld all at the Hairpin corner. Further down the grid, Lotus Racing F1 Team achieved their best result so far with a 13th place courtesy of Heikki Kovalainen and 14th from Jarno Trulli after starting the race from 20th and 19th respectively.

Lotus Racing F1 Team Race Report: Singaporean GP

The Singaporean GP, first of the last 5 fly-away races before the 2010 season ends was packed with close bumper-to-bumper action, with the Safety Car intervening the race a few times. The 26th September night race saw a triumphant Fernando Alonso trumped his competition and strengthen his bid for this season's championship. Scuderia Ferrari driver Alonso, who started on pole drove a flawless and commanding race for his second Singaporean GP win. Lewis Hamilton of McLaren Mercedes on the other hand saw his race once again ended after tangling with Redd Bull Racing's Mark Webber on lap 35, threathening bid to regain the titled he lost last year to fellow team-mate and compatriot Jenson Button, who finished this race in 4th. Webber and team-mate Sebastian Vettel took the other two spots of the podium respectively. This race meanwhile proved to be a bitter-sweet one for Lotus Racing. While the team celebrated the fact that they would be renamed to the historic Team Lotus name for next season after team principal Datuk Tony Fernandes announced that he had bought the rights to the name from David Hunt, the brother of the late former racing driver James Hunt, drivers Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen had their race ended in unfortunate circumstances. Trulli pulled out of the race on lap 27 due to hydraulic problems and Kovalainen's car went up in flames right in front of the pits, 2 laps from the end. Off-track, another saga unfolds when Lotus Group's owner, Malaysian car maker Proton Holdings claims that Lotus Racing does not have the rights to use the "Team Lotus" name and has terminated its current license to Fernandes, stating "flagrant and persistent breaches of the licence by 1 Malaysia Racing Team" as the reason and that It dismissed Fernandes' acquisition of Team Lotus Ventures, saying "there is and always has been only one Lotus" and that its Group Lotus was the owner of all rights in the brand, including those relating to Formula One. Fernandes has now taken the case to the British court.

Wake Me Up When September Ends

Meeting you is fate, being your friend is my choice but falling in love with you is something I have no control over.

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my father's come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my father's come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends

Lotus Racing F1 Team Race Report: Italian GP

F1 goes for its last European race of the season, and Monza holds the honour to host it. The 12 September race was Scuderia Ferrari, Scuderia Toro Rosso and Italian drivers' home race. Qualifying on Saturday saw Ferrari's Fernando Alonso taking pole position, with McLaren-Mercedes' 2009 champion Jenson Button lining up along side him on the front row. Alonso's team-mate Felipe Massa as well as Button's team-mate and fellow countryman Lewis Hamilton lined up in the second row of the grid respectively in 3rd and 5th. The Red Bull Racing duo of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel started from 4th and 6th respectively. Race day saw then championship leader Hamilton retiring on the first lap after taking a risky maneuvre to overtake Massa for third. Hamilton banged wheels Massa, resulting in the former's suspension to break, putting him out of the race and eventually, the chance to earn points to defend his championship position. Button, on the other hand had a great start, overtaking Alonso on the first corner and leading all the way until the 52nd lap when he took his first pit-stop. Alonso, who pitted at the end of lap 52, just managed to squeeze ahead of Button coming down the main straight and into the first corner. It was from here onwards that Alonso piloted his scarlet machine to victory, much to the delight of the Tifosis. Button drove home second, after struggling with his new set of tyres with Massa taking the final step on the podium. Webber, who finished 6th now leaves Europe manning the championship lead with 187 points to 2nd place Hamilton's 182 points. Alonso's win saw him overtake Button in the standings for 3rd with 166 points, with the McLaren driver one point less behind. Back at the end of the pack, Lotus Racing F1 Team had an average race on the first anniversary of the team's application to participate in F1 was accepted. Lead driver Jarno Trulli retiring on lap 46 while Heikki Kovalainen finishing 18th after they qualified 18th and 19th respectively. After the race meanwhile, great news greeted the team as they are set to relive the legendary name of Team Lotus and the use of Renault engine for next season.

Black And Blue

Human nature is very strange. Sure, when people turn to us to get advice we would give them logical and useful ones, but somehow a niche of us would not be able to follow on those advices ourselves. And in that niche group I found my own picture in it.

Never Had A Dream Come True - S Club 7

Everybody's got something they had to leave behind
One regret from yesterday that just seems to grow with time
There's no use looking back or wondering (or wondering)
How it could be now or neither been (or neither been)
All this I know but still I can't find ways to let you go

I never had a dream come true
Till that day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where love takes me to
A part of me will always be with you...

Somewhere in my memory I lost all sense of time
Amd tomorrow can never be
'Cause yesterday is all that fills my mind
There's no use looking back or wondering
How it should be now or neither been (or neither been)
Oh this I know but still I can't find ways to let you go

I never had a dream come true
Till that day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where love takes me to
A part of me will always be with you ...

You'll always be the dream that fills my head
(Yes you will, say you will, you know you will, baby)
You'll always be the one I know (I'll never forget)
There's no use looking back or wondering (or wondering)
Because love is a strange and funny thing
No matter how I try and try
I just can't say goodbye
No no no no

I never had a dream come true
Till that day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where love takes me to
A part of me will always be with you.....

Lotus Racing F1 Team Race Report: Belgian GP

After a 3-week summer break, the F1 circus returns to one of the legendary curcuits that all drivers love: Spa-Francorchamps. Rain played its full hands and the race was peppered with carnage as well as two Safety Car periods. Saturday's qualifying saw Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber claiming his 5th pole position of the the season and also Red Bull's 12th in 13 races with Lewis Hamilton of McLaren Mercedes next to him on the front row. Lotus Racing F1 Team drivers, Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen meanwhile qualified at 18th and 16th respectively, but were promoted with Kovalainen in 15th and Trulli to 16th when several drivers were handed penalties for various reasons. In conjunction with Malaysia's Independence Day on the 31th August, both Lotus cars carried the Malaysian flag on the engine cover. The race on Sunday saw Kovalainen raced home to 16th while Trulli ended up 19th when the latter spun in the dying minutes of the race. Drama begun on the first lap itself when light rain fell. Up front, Webber suffered from a slow start, which Hamilton took full advantage of and rocket up front to the first corner, with the Briton's team-mate Jenson Button coming up second from 4th on the grid. William Racing Team's Rubens Barrichello, racing in his 300th career race, saw his milestone ended in a bitter note when, on the final corner, his car couldn't brake in time and he droved straight into Scuderia Ferrari's Fernando Alonso. Alonso escaped unscathed while Ruben's car suffered heavy nose damage. The McLarens were dominating the race until Webber's younger German team-mate Sebastian Vettel ploughed into Button on the 15th lap while trying to overtake the 2009 champion on the final corner, effectively ending the Briton's hopes of challenging for the win and also re-igniting his title chase. Subsequently, Vettel was handed a drive-through penalty for being at fault of the crash, dropping the him back further to into the pack before finishing 15th and out of the point scoring zone. The Safety Car was deployed for the first time and Ferrari, seeing the rain is starting to get a little heavier brought Alonso in to change to intermediate tyres, only to find the rain slowly fading and the new tyres burning themselves up quickly. Rain clouds with even heavier and longer rain visited the circuit at the late stages of the race which on lap 37 caused Alonso to spin out and stop in the middle of the track with front suspension damaged. The Safety Car then came out for the second time. Throughout all these, 2008 champion Hamilton ran an almost faultless race in 1st until the end, with a heart-stopping moment on lap 33 when his car went off-track and came narrowly close to the wall at the in-field hairpin. With this victory, Hamilton now mans the driver's standing with 182 points and Webber in second with 179 points.

When Worlds Collide

It was only last night that my friend's mom left and migrated to Australia. My friend was really sad because after all the hardship she had been through in the past few months her mom is now leaving her side. Her first message to me after her mom left was, "Oh my God Jay! I can't believe she has left. I wish stime would stop." I understood her feelings, as what she is going through happened to me myself, albeit in a different way. To my dear friend, I know how you're feeling right now, but remember, you still have your siblings and me behind you to support you all the way till the end of the world.

Two Is Better Than One - Boys Like Girls feat. Taylor Swift

[Blue - Boys Like Girls], [Green - Taylor Swift], [Yellow - Together]

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life and I thought
Hey, you know, this could be something
'Cause everything you do and words you say
You know that it all takes my breath away
And now I'm left with nothing

So maybe it's true
That I can't live without you
And maybe two is better than one
But there's so much time
To figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking two is better than one

I remember every look upon your face
The way you roll your eyes
The way you taste
You make it hard for breathing
'Cause when I close my eyes and drift away
I think of you and everything's okay
I'm finally now believing

That maybe it's true
That I can't live without you
And maybe two is better than one
But there's so much time
To figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking two is better than one...

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life and I thought hey

Maybe it's true
That I can't live without you
Maybe two is better than one
But there's so much time
To figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking...
I can't live without you
'Cause baby two is better than one
But there's so much time
To figure out the rest of my life
But I'll figure it out when all is said and done
Two is better than one

Two is better than one

Lotus Racing F1 Team Race Report: Hungarian GP

A year after Scuderia Ferrari's Felipe Massa freak accident that nearly cost his life during qualifying, the F1 party continues to Hungary. The 1st July race was quite a dull affair, as the race result was already decided on Saturday's qualifying. Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber took the front row for their 11th pole out of the 12 races this season. The race, won by Webber in his 150th outing and gifting him the championship lead, was interrupted on the 16th lap after a minor accident left debris on the track. While Webber stayed out on the track, Vettel was called in for a pit stop on the lap 18, a move which effectively ended his chance to challenge for the win and took second on the podium. It was during this Safety Car period that saw many incidents in the pit lane. A wheel rolled off Mercedes Petronas GP's Nico Rosberg's car and bounced wildly down the pits, hitting a William's pit crew. Another pit lane incident occured when Renault released Robert Kubica too soon, which caused him to collide with Force India's Adrian Sutil. McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, who was leading the championship table prior to the race, was taken out by a gearbox problem on lap 24. Another drama unfolded near the end of the race when Mercedes GP's Michael Schumacher and Williams Rubens Barrichello got tangled in a dangerous overtaking maneuvre. Schumacher appeared to force Barrichello into the pit wall when the Brazilian was attempting to overtake him for 10th place, but Barrichello held on to his nerves and sped through trouble. After the race, a livid Rubens condemns Schumacher's driving, saying that the former world champion should have been black-flagged for it. Schumacher has since apologized to his former team-mate. As for Lotus racing F1 Team, the team was in an ecstatic mood as all new teams finished the race. Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen finished 15th and 14th rescpectively. Technical chief Mike Gascoyne said, "That was an excellent two-car finish and once again we're the best of the new teams. Both drivers drove strong races and Trulli had a particularly good start. Once the safety car came out we made a strategy call to keep Trulli out as we knew it would be a short period behind the safety car and this was the right strategy for the team. Unfortunately this meant Jarno lost a place to his team-mate, so apologies to him, but we got the call right for the team. Kovalainen drove a good strong race to the end. Kovalainen said, "I think that was the maximum we could have hoped for, so we're all really pleased." Trulli added, "All weekend I've been strong, and today's two car finish shows how hard the team's been working." The F1 circus will take their 3-week summer break before resuming with the Belgian GP on the 27th to 29th August.

Lotus Racing F1 Team Race Report: German GP

Controversy reigns supreme in this year's German GP. The 25th July race was won by Scuderia Ferrari's Fernando Alonso ahead of his team-mate Felipe Massa, the team's first one-two of the season. But the victory was shrouded by controversy of team orders within the famous scarlet team when Massa, who was leading for 49 of 67 laps, was ordered by team boss Stefano Domenicalli and chief engineer Rob Smedley to let Alonso pass him. "Alonso is faster than you. Can you confirm you understand the message?" Smedley radioed to Massa. After the move 18 laps from the end, Smedley radioed Massa again, "Good lad - just stick with it now, sorry." A stony faced Massa told the media after the race that he would not comment on the messages, but said he was just helping the team. On the other hand, a jovial Alonso commented that the car was perfectly set-up and that he thought that Massa was having gearbox problem and that he was just doing what was natural: overtake his team-mate. During the start of the race, pole-sitter Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel tried to block off a charging Alonso, who started 2nd. Massa, directly behind Vettel in 3rd, took advantage of the front duo's antics and ran to the front without much problem. From then Massa was leading the race until the controversial overtaking move. Vettel finished 3rd from the sluggish start and was emotional for taking a spot on the podium in his home race. Lotus Racing F1 Team on the other hand endured another disappointing race with both Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen retiring due to gearbox problem and accident damage respectively after a strong qualifying performance on Saturday, with Trulli starting from 18th and Kovalainen on 19th.

Charity Concert 2010

With this year being my last, I thought it'd be a great idea for me to attend my school's Charity Concert this year. Held at SRJK (C) Choong Wen's badminton hall on the 25th of July, the event was actually better than I had initially thought. There were shows and stuff, but the saddest thing about the event is it was also Mr Ong Poh Lye and Mr Lou Boon Chai's retirement party of sorts. Mr Ong is my Bahasa Malaysia teacher and Mr Lou is my Physics teacher. Although I admit that we don't really pay much attention during their class, they are probably the best teacher in their respective field. There isn't much else I could say besides that the event was successful and fun, so here's two pictures that I took at the event.

Hari Pameran 2010

My school's Hari Pameran this year would be my last. After much hype by my friend Timothy Tan, I was hoping to see our very own police force's Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X highway patrol vehicles up close and get a feel of the car by sitting in it. But all that came was the Federal Reserve Unit's Scania truck. Initial thoughts was, "Damn it! Where's the Evo?!". All things considered, it was quite cool to see it, actually. How often do you get to see an FRU truck, let alone being able to climb up and sit in it? My thoughts exactly. My day started out waiting for my club to set-up our exhibits of the day, but the officers from the Jabatan Penerangen was not there until almost noon, so all I did was hang around with the police cadets and wait for their show vehicles to come while at the same time running around doing errands for teachers. After assembly was over I took my time walking about the school with my Form 6 friends, talking lots of craps and dissing things that desn't fancy us (what's so nice about the 'Haunted House' anyway? It's been the same every year after all!). Come 11.30 a.m when I was supposed to be on duty for 2 hours at my club's exhibition booth, I was told that I can discharge myself at 12.00 p.m because the officers will be off by that time (WOW!! That was some easy job, eh? XD ). By almost 12.30 I stationed myself at the school gates and watched out for people trying to run out of school before 3.00, the time when everyone goes back. Pandemonium broke out when one of the teachers said that we would be going back at 3.30 instead. Everyone got pretty angry when we heard that because according to the letter of informant issued the day before it says that school would be over at 3.00. More problem ensued when some parents came up to me and demanded to know what was this about. As I have no clear idea on what caused that change, I brought them to the principal's office to discuss the problem. But alas all was settled and the school gates were finally opened to all at the original time of 3.00. All in all, this year's Hari Pameran is better than the years before not just because it is my last year in school, but in terms of exhibits and fun that everyone had.
