A New Day

Today is a new day, as my class has already finished our 2nd term exam. As a self congratulatory celebration, I went out to Mid valley with my sister after school and played "Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune 3DX". I had initially thought of getting the Gemballa Avanlanche GTR 750 as my car after looking up on info about the game from its official site, but that car was only available for Japanese version, so I have to make do with a 'Bayside Blue' Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur (BNR34). I'm still having problem playing this game, but I'll adapt to it soon. After that I tried out Initial D Arcade Stage 5, and I must say, this new version is EXTREMELY DIFFERENT from Stage 4. Try it out for yourself to see the differences. But there is one moment in the game that I couldn't stop laughing at. You see, I "test drive" this new game at the new map Nagao, and although I had see a YouTube video of someone driving on this road, I failed to notice that there are uncovered drains (like those at Tsukuba) at some corners and they cannot be used like how everyone use to take corners and overtake an opponent at Tsukuba (meaning: cut across the drains to the other side) because there isn't any space or land at the other side, only a brick wall! So, when I took the first corner with the drain, the moment I saw the drain, I went "Oh SH*T!" and the right-side tyres just dropped into it, losing all my speed in an instant. Hahaha!! Now that's something different.

P/S: My "Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune 3DX" name is the same as my Initial D game's name, JAY.

千年之恋 - F.I.R

Happy Happy! :-)

This is GREAT! I finally realised one of my long-time dream, that is to be a prefect! Although I'll start as a trainee tomorrow, but it is nonetheless, better than never. :-)

我們的愛 - F.I.R

The Reality

Never in my life had I felt so different. After doing my English oral test, I realized that my life is tied to the world of cars and racing. It's all about speed and horsepower in everything I do. Now do I realize that my interest is not crazy, but it makes me special. It makes me stand out from a crowd of common thinking bunch of peers...

Fast & Furious 4 Cars: Subaru Impreza WRX STi (GRB)

This is the other car driven by tuner head Brian O'Connor in "Fast & Furious 4". This GRB Subaru Impreza WRX STi has a VeilSide bodykit complete with a VeilSide hood and roof scoop. Like the Skyline GT-R, this Impreza's EJ25 engine has mild engine tuning, with a reflashed ECU, Perrin air filter and intercooler as well as full Remus exhaust system. Power is transferred via its stock drivetrain to the ground with those gorgeous black 18" Enkei NT03+M wheels wrapped in Continental SportContact 2 rubbers measuring 285/30 R19. The suspension and brakes has been left untouched too. The reason these two aspects has been left untouched was because director Justin Lin said that this car is tough enough to be trashed about on the set with its stock parts. Interior changes includes Momo steering wheel, VeilSide bucket seats with Takata 4-point harnesses, VeilSide gearknob and Matt Sweeney custom-fabricated rollcage.

Fast & Furious 4 Cars: Nissan Skyline GT-R (BNR34)

The famed Japanese tuner machine Nissan Skyline GT-R (nicknamed 'Godzilla') makes a return in "Fast & Furious 4". Driven by Paul Walker's character Brian O'Connor, this car is actually a kit car built by Kaizo Industries. As it is difficult to make Skylines street-legal in the United States, Universal Studios approached Kaizo to have a street-legal version of this Japanese monster that actually came in a rolling-shell form (read: without drivetrain) with the engine and gearbox assembled in the U.S, just to comply with the NHTSA's `assemblage of parts' ruling. This car looks very much like a sleeper with its understated Bayside Blue stock-looking exterior. The only difference are the Nismo front bumper and side skirts, gunmetal grey Volk Racing RE30 19" rims and Sunline Auto carbon fibre hood painted the same as the car. While the RB26DETT engine received mild mods, with a K&N air filter, Turbonetics intercooler and Cobb muffler being the only changes, the main power adder has to be the infamous NOS nitrous oxide system. With that kind of 'go' power, the 'stop' power has got to be equally impressive too, so Rotora's big brake conversion kit that includes cross-drilled and grooved disc with 6-pot front calipers and 4-pot rear calipers are called into task. Handling is courtesy of Nismo lowering coil springs, Eibach anti-roll bars and ARC front titanium strut bar, while wrapping those uber-beautiful Volk Racing wheels are Toyo's finest Proxes T1-R tyres, measuring 275/30 R19 all round. The interior has been revamped too. Momo steering wheel, OMP bucket seats with OMP 4-point harnesses seat belts and gearknob as well as a set of pedals from the V-Spec II Nur model of the BNR34. But the first thing that will catch your attention the moment you open the car's doors is the large LCD panel smacked right at the top of the centre of the dashboard. That is actually a Xenarc LCD computer screen that works together a Magden M.1B data recorder box. The LCD screen can be set to display a vehicle's parameters in analogue or digital graphic meter form. Many of these GT-Rs were used during filming, but there were also ER34 25GT Turbos used for stunt driving purposes. Heck, there's even a rolling-shell that uses the original Volkswagen Beetle's rear-mounted engine for off-road driving scenes!

Fast & Furious 4

The much-awaited "Fast & Furious 4" movie is the latest in the Universal Studio's highly-successful "Fast & Furious" street-racing franchise. The events of "Fast & Furious 4" takes place before the story in "The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift". Featuring the original casts from the first show, this newest movie tells of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), who was let off by undercover cop Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) at the end of "The Fast & The Furious", has escaped to Mexico for five years. Now, holed up in a beach shack in the Dominican Republic, and living on the run with the sole remnant of his past, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), he tries to piece together a new life. But he knows the authorities are always just steps behind him. When a tragic death of someone he loves brings him back to L.A, Dom reignites his feud with Brian. As they are forced to confront a shared enemy, a sociopathic drug kingpin who is flooding the U.S with lethal products, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to out maneuvre him and avenge the tragedy that he caused their small de facto family to endure. Infiltrating the underground network means earning a spot on the heist squad that moves high-grade heroine across the border from Mexico through almost unnavigable tunnels carved into caves. Two lieutenants in the cartel, Campos (John Ortiz) and Fenix (Laz Alonso), are the only ones who can provide the access Dom and Brian need and the answers they're after. As Dom, his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Brian rediscover the family bond that was torn apart so long ago, the unlikely allies again find themselves pitted against one another in a race that takes them to the brink. Now, from convoy heists on the mountaineous countryside of the Dominican Republic to precision tunnel crawls across the floor of the Mexican desert, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what's possible behind the wheels!
